Scouts

Scouts is based in the Institute and has an age range of ten and half to fourteen. Our troop at 17th offers fantastic opportunities and activities including International Camps (more commonly known as Jamborees), and independent expeditions in the rolling hills.

17th Scouts get more input of what they would like to do than in the other troops and, with 62 different activity badges, they’re really spoiled for choice. Also in Scouts, the children can sometimes enjoy more relaxed evenings such as movie nights and takeaways and more intense evenings involving athletics and carving wood.

As the Scouts are old enough, they can try their hand at more dangerous and thrilling activities such as air rifle shooting and snow sports, all supervised by specially trained leaders for this age group.

This is the Scouts Uniform.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
